Established in 1967 in Speyside, Scotland, The GlenAllachie Distillery, situated near Aberlour at the foot of Ben Rinnes, has emerged as a prominent name in the single malt Scotch whisky market. Acquired in 2017 by a consortium led by whisky industry veteran Billy Walker, alongside Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson, GlenAllachie has transitioned from a blend-focused operation to a distinguished producer of premium single malts. The distillery deliberately restricts output levels to prioritise quality through extended 160-hour fermentation to craft complex, fruit-forward whiskies. GlenAllachie’s 250-acre estate includes 16 on-site warehouses, housing over 50,000 casks, with a varied wood policy encompassing ex-sherry, ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks.
